Sleep Phase Alarm Clocks
Getting up relaxed and rested – Adapt your waking-up time to your own biorhythm!
aXbo’s sleeping phase alarm clock always wakes you up during the ideal sleeping phase. You wake up naturally, feeling recovered and rested. You are good-humoured, fresh and fit in the morning and feel ready for an active day full of energy. By analysing body movements the alarm clock detects different sleeping phases, distinguishes them and determines your perfect moment of getting up.
Human beings pass through different sleeping cycles throughout the night, each one of them lasting between 90 and 110 minutes. Within these sleeping cycles, phases of deep sleep, light sleep and REM (Rapid Eye Movement) alternate. In the morning, the REM phases become longer and the transition from deep sleep to REM (and vice versa) triggers increased body movement. aXbo takes advantage of this characteristic and wakes you up precisely during a light sleep phase, a so-called almost-awake moment, taking place about every 30 minutes.
The movements are recorded via small sensors in the included comfortable terry cloth wristbands and transmitted to the alarm clock. The wristband transmits the collected data with very low power (0,0001 Watt) to the aXbo sleeping phase alarm clock. It transmits during about 3 seconds overall per night. Thus the radiation impact on the body stays minimal and almost negligible. A comparison: a mobile phone sends an average of 1 Watt continuously during a phone call, much more than the wristband does.
aXbo wakes you up at the earliest 30 minute before the preset time, and at the latest precisely at the preset time.
aXbo’s features explained easily
The PowerNap function was specially designed for afternoon naps. For a short, efficient and recreative nap.
iSnooze is an intelligent snooze function. When activated, it allows you to snooze a bit longer. In case you do not fall asleep again, aXbo advises you to stand up after 5 minutes. In case you do fall asleep though, aXbo calculates the opportune moment within the next 30 minutes and wakes you up again. Altogether, aXbo allows two snoozes within one waking process.
Choose among three melodies to find peace and gently fall asleep. As soon as you are asleep, aXbo recognizes it, fading out the volume until the melody falls silent.
More melodies may be downloaded with the “aXbo research” application software.
The producer provides free “aXbo research” software after online registration. With this software you can read all movement data of the last 28 days (single mode) or 14 days (couple mode) and evaluate them. The litte “aXbo research” sleeping lab thus also allows analysing one’s own sleep.
aXbo S-Moove control:
A simple and intuitive way of controlling the alarm clock.
LCD snooze mode:
aXbo recognizes when you have fallen asleep and switches off the LCD lighting. If necessary, it can be switched on again via your wristband.
Battery operation in case of power disconnection:
In case of disconnection or blackout, aXbo automatically switches to battery operation.
In order to minimise the battery’s wear, the batteries are only recharged once a certain minimum charge is underrun. In order to be used instantly, aXbo comes with three completely charged batteries.
