UV-Light Therapy can be used for the treatment of acne.
Blue light with a wavelength of 400 to 450 nm stimulates oxygen production within the clogged skin pores, cleans and fights bacteria growth. The blue light with its antibacterial effect eliminates the cause of infection within the pore. Thus the propioni bacteria responsible for the development of acne die away.
